Bill Gore brings professional experience unparalleled by any other attorney currently practicing in North Carolina to the representation of his clients. Mr. Gore has served as an Assistant District Attorney, Chief District Court Judge, Senior Resident Superior Court Judge and Commissioner of the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles in addition to his professional experience as a practicing attorney. He has been licensed as an attorney in North Carolina since 1977. As a prosecutor, judge, and defense lawyer, he has participated in hundreds of cases, including Capital Murders and catastrophic injuries. Bill Gore is in court essentially every day bringing this experience to bear on behalf of his clients. In recent years, in addition to practicing criminal defense law in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, and Robeson Counties, Mr. Gore has concentrated on injuries and wrongful deaths inflicted on mentally ill and handicapped prisoners in the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections and in county jails around North Carolina caused by negligence of corrections staff and medical care providers.

Tara Gore Approaches her Practice With Passion and Brings a Fresh Perspective to the Firm

Tara Gore is the new addition to William C. Gore, Jr. PLLC. She practices criminal defense and traffic law in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, and Robeson Counties. Appearing in court daily, she advocates for her clients in the areas of traffic law, DWI defense, and misdemeanor and felony defense. Aside from her seven years of postsecondary education in Chapel Hill, Ms. Gore is a lifelong resident of Whiteville and is committed to assisting her neighbors. Her experience as a Deputy Clerk of Superior Court in Columbus County allowed her to learn the inner workings of criminal court proceedings and has proven invaluable in her daily practice. Tara Gore honed her client-relations skills during her third year of law school practicing in the UNC School of Law Immigration Clinic assisting indigent clients. She has hit the ground running since her admission to the North Carolina State Bar in 2017 and is committed to upholding her oath to “be faithful and bear true allegiance to the State of North Carolina.”
